COMMUNITY COMMITMENT
BRE Properties is proud to be an active member of the Miracle Mile community and supporter of local charities, business and community groups and events.  Since 2004, BRE has been involved in the neighborhood, and is committed to working with stakeholders to plan for the area's future.

BRE's commitment is ongoing and includes:
  • Sponsorship of the annual TarFest, a community-wide festival of film, music and art.
  • Sponsorship of the Wilshire Corridor Forum, a series of business programs focusing on issues that affect the Miracle Mile, Park Mile and Wilshire Center communities.
  • Membership in the Miracle Mile Civic Coalition, a community-based group with more than two decades of service to the Miracle Mile.
  • Contributions to Miracle Mile Residential Association, a community organization comprised of homeowners and renters.
  • Contributions to the new Senior Activity Center at Pan Pacific Park that includes a new exercise area and gymnasium for seniors.
  • Support for the Greenway Arts Alliance, a not-for-profit organization that promotes performing arts programs for Fairfax High School students.
  • Sponsorship of the Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR) annual river cleanup event.
  • Donated landscaping to two local schools, Wilshire Crest Elementary and John Burroughs Middle School.

In addition, BRE has engaged and continues to work with project stakeholders in an open
and ongoing dialog about its mixed-use projects in the Miracle Mile, including the proposed Wilshire & La Brea development and the retail-residential project at 5600 Wilshire Boulevard currently under construction.
